Who We Are

The Darfur Foundation, founded in 2003 by Ismail Yagoub, supports refugees and asylum seekers worldwide. Originating from Ismail’s experiences in war-torn Darfur, the Foundation provides aid and community initiatives for displaced individuals from Sudan and other countries around the globe.

    • After fleeing the horrors of war in Syria, I found myself in a new land, Scotland, with nothing but fear and uncertainty. The Darfur Foundation welcomed me with open arms, providing me with shelter, clothing, and most importantly, a sense of belonging. Their English classes helped me overcome the language barrier, and their unwavering support empowered me to rebuild my life with dignity and hope.
